Southampton suffered a demoralising 4-0 defeat at the hands of Augsburg in their penultimate pre-season match of the summer on Wednesday evening.
Playing at St Mary's for the first time this season, were well beaten on their homecoming just nine days ahead of their Premier League opener against Swansea.
Michael Gregoritsch netted a stunning first-half brace and Ja-Cheol Koo headed home the third before Raphael Framberger struck a fourth late on.
