Germany international Sandro Wagner has prolonged his Hoffenheim contract through to 2020, despite a reported €16 million offer from Southampton.
After being part of Germany's renowned 2009 European Under-21 Championship-winning squad, Wagner finally won his first cap for the senior national side this summer and was part of the team which won the Confederations Cup in Russia.
In recent weeks, the 29-year-old had been linked with a move to Premier League, with Bild reporting that Southampton made a bid.
However, Wagner opted to stay at Hoffenheim and the club's sporting director Alexander Rosen praised the deal as "a strong signal" on the club's official website.
