Leeds and Southampton's hopes of a late swoop for Cody Gakpo have reportedly been all but ended as PSV Eindhoven decide to keep hold of their star man.
After Manchester United cooled their interest in the Dutch winger following the £85.5million acquisition of Antony from Ajax, Leeds and Southampton emerged as two alternative suitors.
But the Athletic report that PSV have now decided to keep hold of Gakpo this summer and they are determined to get him to sign a lucrative new contract at the club.

Dutch journalist Rik Elfrink added that Gakpo was expecting to board a flight to Leeds-Bradford airport on Thursday morning with six relatives and Leeds director Victor Orta.
