Matt Le Tissier has told talkSPORT he has no interest in taking the Southampton job following the sacking of Mauricio Pellegrino with just eight games to go in the Premier League season.
Pellegrino, the 46-year-old Argentine, was dismissed from his position at St Mary’s on Monday evening, on the back of just one victory in 17 league matches. Saints’ most recent defeat, 3-0 at Newcastle, left the south coast club just one point and one place above the relegation zone.
Pellegrino was appointed last summer to replace Claude Puel, who was adjudged to have performed poorly in his lone campaign in charge of Southampton, but the current Leicester boss ensured the Saints were never fearing relegation.
