Javi Gracia has vowed to steer Leeds United to safety after being cleared to take charge of today's basement battle with Southampton.
The Spaniard was announced as the Whites' head coach on Tuesday but was only granted his work permit on Friday, just 24 hours before the huge clash at Elland Road.
Gracia, though, is confident his new team are sufficiently prepared to secure their first win in 11 top-flight games on Saturday - and insists he will keep them in the Premier League.
Addressing the media for the first time on Friday, the 52-year-old said: 'Of course the situation we are in is not easy.
