Hull 2-1 Southampton: Michael Dawson and Robert Snodgrass clinch a first league victory since August

A quick-fire brace from Michael Dawson and Robert Snodgrass secured maximum Premier League points for Hull for the first time since August.

Mike Phelan’s side had succumbed to six straight league defeats prior to kick-off and Charlie Austin’s sixth minute penalty looked to heap more misery on the Tigers.

However, Snodgrass whipped in a delightful finish from Samuel Clucas’ cutback on the hour and two minutes later Dawson rose highest to head in the winner at the KCOM Stadium.
