Richarlison, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were on the scoresheet as Everton beat Southampton 3-1 in Rafa Benitez's first game in charge.
Adam Armstrong, who was making his debut, put Southampton ahead in the 22nd minute.
Everton pulled level just after half time through Richarlison before Doucoure put them ahead with 14 minutes left and Calvert-Lewin then added further gloss to the scoreline.
