England's fightback on day four of the first Test against West Indies got off to a steady start after Rory Burns and Dom Sibley's opening partnership but the hosts still trail by 35.
The tourists had claimed a first-innings lead of 114 at the end of a chastening third day in Southampton, having skittled out England's top order before building an imposing score.
The 50-run plus stand from Burns and Sibley, who both batted sensibly until the opening wicket, almost guided England through until lunch - but Burns was dismissed on 42 from a seemingly innocuous ball from Roston Chase.
