Chelsea have submitted a new offer for Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with just over 24 hours left in the summer transfer window.
Thomas Tuchel's side have lodged another bid for the former Arsenal striker, and Chelsea's need for a new forward was underlined when they lost 2-1 at Southampton on Tuesday night.
The proposed player-plus-cash deal for the Gabon international will see Marcos Alonso - who has long been linked with Xavi's Barca this summer - move in the opposite direction.
Chelsea made a £15m bid to sign Aubameyang earlier this month, but look to have come to an agreement with the Catalan giants, according to Fabrizio Romano.
