Brighton are in talks to sign highly-rated teenage midfielder Kamari Doyle from south coast neighbours Southampton.
Doyle made his Premier League debut as a substitute against Brighton in 2023 after being rewarded for his excellent progress through the ranks.
The England U19 international has been at Southampton since the age of nine, impressing at different levels.
Now 18, he studied experienced professionals such as James Ward-Prowse and has developed a talent for taking free-kicks also.
Though he has been hindered by injuries this season, Brighton still see him as one for the future and he is expected to sign before the end of the week pending his medical.
