England's international summer is set to end with the last of three one-day matches against Australia at Old Trafford on September 16.
The ECB are waiting on clearance from the Australian Government before formally announcing the tour, which would ensure every single men’s international would be played this summer despite the disruption caused by Covid-19 — and save the governing body around £260million in broadcast revenue.
Plans are so far advanced Australia have already named a 26-man squad for the tour — and a schedule, seen by the Mail on Sunday, shows the three T20s will be played at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton on the 4th, 6th and 8th September before three oneday internationals in Manchester on the 11th, 13th and 16th.
