Arsenal vs Southampton: Claude Puel eyes EFL Trophy triumph but hints at youthful side for quarter-final clash

Southampton manager Claude Puel believes his players are talented enough to win a trophy as they prepare to face Arsenal in the EFL Cup quarter-final.

Saints travel to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday looking to reach a first domestic semi-final since lifting the Football League Trophy in 2010.

But Saints' last major silverware was in 1976 and Frenchman Puel - who joined the club in July after Ronald Koeman left to become Everton boss - believes the current crop of players at St Mary's are talented enough to end the wait.
