Zebold: Taggart's Bulls Have a Winning Attitude

In his first season in San Francisco in 1979, the 49ers went 2-14 and saw a six-game improvement the following year. By the end of the 1981 season, Walsh and the 49ers were hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy after winning Super Bowl XVI.

The 49ers won two more Super Bowls with Walsh at the helm and one important factor helped the organization transform into a dynasty.

Everyone bought into Walsh’s philosophy.

“The culture precedes positive results,” Walsh once said. “It doesn't get tacked on as an afterthought on your way to the victory stand.
