The women’s soccer team continued their winning ways with a 3-0 victory over American University on a hot Sunday afternoon at Corbett.

The 3-5-2 formation may not be permanent, but Denise Schilte-Brown deployed it again today. This time the Bulls did not make any fatal defensive errors. One or two nervy moments led to keeper Kat Elliott making 5 saves on the day, but the back line largely held American in check.

On the offensive end, USF had open season on the net for 27 total shots to American’s 6. Evelyne Viens shook the frame twice in the first half, but it was freshman Kylee Burroughs that broke the deadlock in the 25th minute.
