TAMPA (Sept. 30, 2015)— The USF women’s soccer program earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for exemplary performance. The award, granted for the team’s performance during the 2014-15 academic year, marks the ninth straight for USF.
USF has earned the team award every year under head coach Denise Schilte-Brown. The Bulls posted a combined 3.23 GPA to earn the award.
To qualify, teams must post a minimum grade point average of 3.00 for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player’s GPA, then dividing by the number of players.
The Bulls continue to pick up other accolades as Jackie Simpson was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week.
