TAMPA, OCT. 27, 2017 – The USF women's basketball team received a special honor Wednesday as the 26th day of October 2017 was declared USF Women's Basketball Team Day by Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn.
Coming off an outstanding 2016-17 campaign, the Bulls were honored at the mayor's office in downtown Tampa Wednesday afternoon. USF earned the recognition turning in its fifth consecutive 20-win season, third straight trip to the NCAA Tournament and was recognized as the American Athletic Conference 2016-17 Academic Excellence Award winner.
The 2017-18 team and coaching staff were on hand Wednesday afternoon to meet the mayor and receive the award.
