TAMPA, MARCH 9, 2019 – Senior righty Alec Wisely went seven strong innings and the USF baseball team used timely hits to take a 4-2 win against Liberty Saturday night.
The Bulls (7-5) again scored in the first inning off of the Flames (10-4). Junior Jordan Santos (Tampa) got on base to open the game, then stole second. With two outs, senior Joe Genord (Lake Worth, Fla.) sent a deep fly ball into right-center for an RBI double.
The Bulls tacked on another in the third. Santos walked, then two batters later senior Kyle Phillips (Orlando) delivered with a single for his 12th RBI of the year.
