Trying to sell stolen weapons at a gun and knife show proved to be the downfall for an Oakland Park man when a potential customer recognized a stolen vintage bayonet that belonged to a friend, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.
The vigilant person, who was attending the Pompano Beach Gun & Knife Show on Sunday, alerted a deputy, which led to the arrest of John Mark Singer, officials announced on Wednesday.
According to the Sheriff's Office, an investigation showed that Singer, 25, was in possession of a small arsenal of weapons that he had stolen from homes in Broward and Palm Beach counties.
