Waterspouts spotted off Broward County

A series of waterspouts were seen off the coast of Broward County Friday morning.

The formations were seen offshore near the areas east of Oakland Park Boulevard, Commercial Boulevard and Fort Lauderdale beach.

One of the waterspouts appeared to reach shore just south of Commercial Boulevard.

There were no immediate reports of damage.

Shortly after 7:15 a.m., the National Weather Service in Miami issued an advisory indicating that meteorologists detected a shower offshore of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea that was capable of producing a funnel cloud.
