TAMPA, MARCH. 21, 2017 – In a much closer contest than previous outings, the University of South Florida baseball found itself down, 3-2, in the seventh until a David Villar (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) three-run jack gave it back a lead for good in a 7-3 win over North Florida Tuesday night.
The Bulls (20-1) loaded the bases in the bottom of the second on a single and two walks, allowing sophomore Garrett Zech (Naples, Fla.) to bring in two men with a base knock to center.
But the Ospreys (14-8) responded with runs in the fourth, fifth and seventh to meticulously take a 3-2 lead.
