The impact from a crash propelled a truck off the Hillsboro Boulevard bridge and 30 feet below on Saturday afternoon, according to a Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue official.
The gray pickup fell onto an access road below the bridge after crashing with another vehicle on the westbound lanes of Hillsboro Boulevard at about 3 p.m., fire-rescue spokesman Mike Jachles said.
The pickup landed on its roof, which appeared flattened from the impact, with its wheels up in the air. The vehicle narrowly missed plunging into the Intracoastal Waterway.
