USF's Peters out with foot fracture

A USF men's basketball season off to a historically painful start just got a bit more excruciating.

The school announced Monday that 6-foot-4 transfer G Roddy Peters is out indefinitely after fracturing his left foot in the first half of Sunday's 65-46 loss to North Carolina State. The Bulls' assists leader (3.5 per game) and No. 2 scorer (9.8 ppg), Peters has started eight of USF's 10 contests.

Freshman Jahmal McMurray (12.3 ppg, 1.5 assists), who started against the Wolfpack, now is likely to handle the Bulls' point-guard duties exclusively, with senior Nehemias Morillo (7.5 ppg) logging even more minutes at the wing.
