TAMPA (Dec. 7, 2020) – University of South Florida women's basketball standout Elisa Pinzan has been named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 6, the conference announced Monday. The honor marks Pinzan's first weekly award of her career.
A junior from Murano, Italy, Pinzan helped to guide USF to its biggest victory in program history, a thrilling 67-63 overtime win over No. 6 Mississippi State on Dec. 5. The 5-foot-8 guard logged her first career double-double against the Bulldogs with 14 points and a career high 11 rebounds, while falling just one assist shy of a triple-double.
