USF junior PF Chris Perry, the Bulls' second-leading rebounder and No. 3 scorer, has been suspended for an unspecified period for a violation of team rules, the school announced earlier today.
Team spokesman Steven Schoon said Coach Orlando Antigua would have no comment on the suspension.
The absence of Perry (9.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg) leaves USF (3-17, 0-7 American Athletic Conference) with seven scholarship players for today's 4 p.m. contest at Houston (13-5, 3-3). Perry didn't make the trip with the team.
USF, off to the worst 20-game start in program history, enters today's contest on a nine-game losing streak.
