USF Women’s Basketball Takes Care of Memphis 63-53, Heading to 9th Straight AAC Tournament Semifinal

The South Florida Bulls women’s basketball team took take of the No. 7-seed Memphis Tigers 63-53 in the quarterfinals of the AAC Tournament inside Dickie’s Arena in Fort Worth, TX on Tuesday night.

The No. 2-seeded Bulls used an 18-point second half from Elena Tsineke to push past a frisky Tigers team who had give the Bulls everything they could handle through three quarters. The Greek guard finished with a game-high 22 points, which included ten straight points from her in the second half.

Tied at 45 going into the final frame, the Bulls used their stout defense and timely baskets to extend the lead to double digits with just over a minute to go.
