In a bit of Sunday afternoon news, USF women’s basketball senior superstar Kitija Laksa announced she will not enter her name into the WNBA draft according to her instagram and twitter accounts.
Laksa has been rehabbing from a torn ACL and meniscus suffered back in November in an out of conference game vs. Bethune-Cookman. It was previously unclear whether she would pursue a medical redshirt and return to USF for the 2019-20 season or enter the WNBA draft.
She was recently named the Sports Club of Tampa Bay Female Student Athlete of the Year for her accomplishments in 2018.
