After dropping two of three games in the U.S Virgin Islands Paradise Jam, the USF women’s basketball team returned home to blow past New Hampshire 79-36 at the Yuengling Center on Friday night.
“Getting back from the Virgin Islands, I think what this team needed was to get back in the gym and practice,” head coach Jose Fernandez said. “Concentrating on us was huge and these next three weeks are crucial.”
Holding only a 6-5 lead at the first media timeout, the Bulls blasted off on a 17-0 run to take complete command of the game.
USF (6-2) finished with six players in double figures, including talented freshman Beatriz Jordao who led all scorers with 17 points and eight rebounds.
