WICHITA, Kan., May 13, 2022 – The University of South Florida track and field team closed a successful day one at the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships on Friday. Eron Carter (Palatka, Fla.) bettered his own school record, while four qualified for final heats on Sunday.
Carter started the day with a 61.40 meter (201-5) throw in the men's hammer competition, passing his mark of 195-0 he tossed earlier this season. The mark, which earned him third place in the event, also set a new personal best for the senior.
The Bulls also had four qualify for the finals in the 400-meter hurdles.
