TAMPA, Fla., March 17, 2022 – The University of South Florida softball team opened its weekend tournament with a win over Ohio State, 5-0, before falling to Purdue in game two, 1-0.
(Sanford, Fla.) earned the win in game one, pitching her 10 complete-game shutout of the season. The win extended her consecutive scoreless innings streak to 88.1 innings (94.1 innings without an earned run). However, both streaks were snapped against Purdue, as Corrick gave up her first run in nearly a month off a home run to right center. The streak of 88.1 innings is the longest in program and conference history and was just 17 innings away from the NCAA record of 105.
