TAMPA, Feb. 9, 2024 – Sophomore pitcher (Smyrna, Del.) tossed a complete game shutout in the University of South Florida (3-0) win over the Michigan Wolverine (1-1) on Friday afternoon. The Bulls won with a score of 1-0.
This is the first time since 2008 that South Florida has shut out its first three opponents to open the season. In 2008, they shut out Illinois, Memphis, and Bethune-Cookman.
(Tampa) hit South Florida's first triple of the season to bring (Millville, N.J.) across the plate in the bottom of the fifth. With two outs, Eigenmann singled down the left field line and then stole second to put herself in scoring position.
