TAMPA, Fla., February 22, 2025 –The University of South Florida softball team (12-4) won versus the Kent State Golden Flashes, 8-3, on Saturday night at the USF Softball Stadium.
Kent State opened the scoring in the top of the first inning, with the opening run reaching on an error. South Florida had an opportunity to respond in the bottom of the first but left the bases loaded.
The Golden Flashes struck again in the top of the third inning, with one run coming after back-to-back doubles to left-center field.
