TAMPA, March 7, 2025 – The University of South Florida softball team (17-8, 0-1 AAC) fell to the UAB Blazers (10-11, 1-0 AAC) in a heartbreaking loss to open conference play on Friday night at the USF Softball Stadium. UAB had its biggest comeback win, scoring four runs in the seventh to win the game, 7-6.
The Blazers struck first, scoring one run in the opening frame. The Bulls quickly answered with a leadoff home run from Josie Foreman to start the second inning. DaNia Brooks added a run later in the inning with a sacrifice fly, giving the Bulls the one-run lead.
