TAMPA, APRIL 2, 2016 – USF signee Troy Baxter of Oldsmar Christian won the American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk Contest Friday.
The contest was held in Pearland, Texas, just 15 miles south of Houston, the location of this weekend’s Final Four. CBS will air the slam & 3-point championship at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Baxter, a 6 foot, 8 inch forward, is ranked No. 90 nationally in the ESPN 100 and No. 110 by 247Sports.com. He regularly plays above the rim, evidence of which can be found throughout YouTube. After his big win on Friday, Baxter told USA Today his strategy for victory.
