USF didn’t have to look far in its search for a new men’s tennis coach.
The school announced Tuesday that assistant Ashley Fisher has been promoted to lead the program, replacing Matt Hill, who resigned last month to take the same position at Arizona State. Fisher joined the program earlier this year following a lengthy career as a touring professional, broadcaster and coach, helping Hill guide the Bulls to their third straight American Athletic Conference championship and NCAA Tournament berth.
“Ashley has world-class tennis experience and was a valuable part of one of our most successful men’s tennis seasons in program history last year,” USF athletic director Mark Harlan said in a statement.
