University of South Florida Athletics announced Thursday it will build a 160,000-square foot facility on campus.
The new addition will be called the USF Football Center and will be positioned next to the Lee Roy Selmon Athletics Center.
The $40 million project will be mostly paid for by donor contributions. The center expands upon the existing Morsani Football Practice Complex and will include an 83,000-square foot indoor practice facility, complete will a 100-yard turf field.
“We are very excited about the plans for this truly transformational facility, which will provide a world-class training center and base of operations for our outstanding football program,” said Mark Harlan, USF’s athletics director.
