Both USF men’s and women got an excellent start to the 2021 year, with key victories and conference recognition. Caleb Murphy has now earned Freshman of the Week honors from the conference two weeks in a row. Meanwhile, Bethy Mununga has earned conference Co-Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career.
Caleb Murphy averaged 13.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 assist, and 1.5 steals per game after splitting games against Memphis and C. Against Memphis, the star freshman went for a career high 20 points while adding four rebounds, three assist and two steals while getting an absolute posterization dunk in the process.
