The USF men’s basketball team finished the regular season with a wrenching 7-22 record after today’s 72-60 loss to the Temple Owls.
“No fault with the effort, no fault with the competitive fight of our team,” USF head coach Murry Bartow said. “And that says a lot ... just wish a couple more shots would’ve went down.”
Sophomore forward Luis Santos connected on a jumper for the first points of the game. Just the momentum they needed to head into the conference tournament. Except Temple responded with a three. Actually, make that four STRAIGHT three-pointers in a row for the Owls on a 9-2 run.
