Veteran Rice WR Temi Alaka has confirmed he's transferring to USF for his final season as a graduate transfer.

Alaka (6-foot-2, 205 pounds) totaled 55 catches the past two seasons for the Owls, and had 19 career starts. He averaged a team-best 16.4 yards per catch in 2016, making 24 of his 28 receptions in the last eight contests.

Born in Brooklyn but raised in Houston, Alaka said his connections to USF's current staff led him to Tampa.

He was recruited by Bulls offensive coordinator Sterlin Gilbert (who was then at Eastern Illinois) while starring at Houston's Cypress Falls High, and his younger brother -- Texas A&M junior LB Otaro Alaka -- was recruited by Charlie Strong when the first-year Bulls coach was at Texas.
