USF may caught another early-season break today after it was announced that Wisconsin quarterback Alex Hornibrook left the team.
The redshirt senior had played in 35 games (32 starts) for the Badgers, including being named the 2017 Orange Bowl MVP after throwing for 258 yards and four touchdowns against the Miami Hurricanes capping a terrific season for the then-sophomore (2,644 yards, 25 TD, 11 INT, 62% completions)
He had a down year in 2018 throwing for just over 1,500 yards with a 13/11 TD/INT ratio. Hornibrook, despite his sub-par 2018, he finishes tied for third all-time in touchdowns at Wisconsin (47), and his 26-6 record as a starter (20-4 Big Ten games) is first all-time in school history.
