Carrollton High School announced late Monday evening that South Florida Bulls tight ends coach Joey King would become their school’s newest head coach. The departure now means that USF has had three coaching staff changes this offseason, and only one has been filled with Ernie Sims being promoted from an analyst to linebackers coach.
King was formerly the offensive coordinator at Carrollton High School, amongst other stops including Coastal Carolina, Cartersville High School, and Sonoraville High School. His time at Cartersville as the head coach was highlighted with the development of Trevor Lawrence, who became the number one overall prospect, and future number one overall draft pick in this year’s upcoming NFL draft.
