USF football head coach Jeff Scott made the final hire for his coaching staff with the addition of Bobby Bentley as wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator.
Bobby Bentley comes to Tampa by way of Columbia, South Carolina, where he spent last season as the tight end coach at the University of South Carolina. Bentley also coached the Gamecock running backs from 2016 to 2018 and is the father of former USCar QB Jake Bentley, who USF faced off against in the 2017 Birmingham Bowl. However, Bobby was not retained under USCar’s new head coach Shane Beamer.
