Yet another former South Florida Bulls will play in the Super Bowl as former Bulls’ tight end Mitchell Wilcox and his Cincinnati Bengals knocked off the Kansas City Chiefs 27-24 in overtime of the AFC Championship game.
Wilcox is the 14th former Bull to make the Super Bowl, and it’s the 18th time a Bull will be in the Big Game. A former USF player has played in 9 of the last 11 Super Bowls—including Jason Pierre-Paul, and Austin Reiter, where both won a ring.
Wilcox played a vital role as the second tight end on the field for the Bengals in their final drive of the game to set up the game-winning field goal in overtime.
