AUSTIN, TEXAS, May 4, 2019 – Despite a 1-0 lead with a doubles win, USF men's tennis' season ended with a 4-1 loss to Texas on Saturday evening.
With senior Alberto Barroso-Campos' (Montijo, Spain) assistance, the Bulls (18-8) earned the doubles point for the second consecutive match. The conference player of the year and Pierre Luquet (Draguignan, France), who together rank No. 88, defeated the No. 5 tandem from Texas, Christian Sigsgaard and Harrison Scott, 6-3 on the premiere court. Jakub Wojcik (Delray Beach, Fla.) and Ivan Yatsuk (Minsk, Belarus) followed suit and clinched the doubles point, 6-4, on court-two.
