TAMPA, MAY 10, 2021 – After years of climbing the ladder under head coach Gillian Guadagnino, the USF Coed Cheer Team claimed the program's first national championship at the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) College Nationals at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, April 27-28.
USF posted a first-place performance in their traditional routine and second-place in their game day routine to claim the Division IA Coed Cheer National Championship.
The team of Annalise Giordano, Ansley Topchik, Anthony Howard, Brooke Penkal, Erica Scarborough, Gabriel Rodriguez, Jerimiah Taylor, Joey Apisa, Josh Kuseck, Jovon Penny, Katie Carol, Madison Bridges, Matthew Del Castillo, Nathan Baker, Nicole Carignan and Uriel Sanchez delivered the Bulls first national title competing against teams from UCF, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee and Liberty.
