CINCINNATI, Ohio (April 22, 2022) – The University of South Florida Bulls were three outs away from letting one get away on Friday night in the opener of a three-game series at the University of Cincinnati.
A pair of costly errors came back to bite the Bulls and erase an early 3-0 lead, but South Florida rallied for three runs in the top of the ninth inning to come from behind and hold on for a 10-9 victory.
Sonny Rao (Jacksonville) delivered the game-winning runs with a one-out double in the ninth to lift USF's record to 22-16 (3-7 AAC).
