The South Florida Bulls baseball team defeated the No. 2 seed Tulane Green Wave 5-0 in the winner’s bracket of the AAC Tournament on Thursday night. USF will face the winner of Friday’s game between Wichita State and Tulane on Saturday for a chance to play in the title game.
The Bulls got the action started in the top of the third as centerfielder Roberto Pena hit a two-run home run, his 12th of the season, and second of the tournament, to right field to give USF an early 2-0 lead.
Redshirt freshman RHP Jack Jasiak held the Green Wave to just two hits over 8.
