On Friday, USF beat Bradley 6-3 thanks in part to two homers by true freshman Jackson Mayo in the second and the seventh —the latter a 3-run bomb breaking up a 3-3 tie. He finished the evening 4-5 with 4 RBI. Fellow freshman Marcus Brodil also added to the fireworks delivering his first homerun of the season and going 3-4 with two runs and an RBI. Sophomore Orion Kerkering made the start going 5.2 innings giving up three runs and striking out eight. Hunter Mink picked up his fifth save of the season.
On Saturday, the Bulls couldn’t get out of their own way defensively committing seven errors while scoring only four runs on seven hits in a 10-4 loss.
