TAMPA, MAY 4, 2016 – Head coach Orlando Antigua announced the signing of USC transfer Malik Martin to the USF men’s basketball team on Wednesday.
Martin, a 6-foot-11, 220-pound forward from Miami, averaged 1.8 points and 1.5 rebounds in 6.6 minutes per game last season as a sophomore. As a freshman, he compiled 5.2 points and 3.6 rebounds while leading the Trojans with a .524 shooting percentage.
“Malik is long, athletic and runs well,” Antigua said. “He is a skilled forward that will use this season to get stronger. As a senior and junior in high school, he was one of the top guys in the country.
