Floridians hoping to get their money back after paying for red-light-camera tickets are stuck in a holding pattern for another 60 days.
Federal judge Federico Moreno in Miami on Thursday heard arguments about whether a class action suit should proceed in its quest to have the $158 fines refunded. He gave himself two months to consider.
Everyone who paid the tickets would automatically benefit if the judge rules that all of the state's red-light programs are illegal. More than 40 cities and counties, as well as the state government, could lose a total of about $200 million.
