Head coach Willie Taggart named the sophomore as his starting quarterback for the Sept. 5 season opener against Florida A&M at Raymond James Stadium. A day after announcing the decision, Taggart talked about the ways Flowers can help the offense really take off.
“Quinton is unique. He can make guys miss,” Taggart said after practice Tuesday. “He can do some things the average Joe can’t do. I think that’s what makes him different is he can do that. He can make plays happen, he can extend plays.
